Your Demo Reel is more than a collection of your work, it's an opportunity.
This is your opportunity to show Casting Directors that you are right for the part, and for them to learn about you and your story!
We want to help. Let us show you how!
We're Here to Make This
Easy for You
We pride ourselves on creating Demo Reels that capture what you can bring to a project. Your Demo Reel should be professional, fluid, and has what Casting Directors are looking. We're here to help make that happen.
Please note, our services are for established actors with multiple roles in films, broadcast, or series. Our preference is that these roles are Lead, Principal, Supporting, Regular, or Recurring. We are open to other options if they are a strong performance in a professional production (e.g. a great performance in a short film that hit major festivals).
Our editors have worked on films, documentaries, music videos, commercials, and corporate videos. We understand the importance of having a demo reel that flows and highlights what makes you special. With over 20 years of combined experience, our editors are here to help create a demo reel that truly represents you.
A Better Reel
A great demo reel makes Casting Directors notice you. It has an energy and flow that shows when you're on screen, people notice.
Think of your Demo Reel as a movie trailer - it's exciting, it gets you interested, and makes you want to invest in it so you can see more. This is what your Demo Reel should be doing.
Our team has worked in many areas of film production. We're producers, directors, editors, actors, and writers. We've casted films before and worked with Agents and Casting Directors. We understand what they are looking for in a Demo Reel. We also understand how exciting it is to watch a Demo Reel and realize that this is the person for your film!
This industry moves fast and so do we. With two full-time editors on staff we always ensure we're able to meet deadline when we agree to make your Demo Reel.
Need a quick edit on a previous demo? No problem! We keep your project backed-up and are able to launch it on a moments notice!
Carlos Gonzalez-Vio's Demo Reel
Having Carlos on set is the quickest way to enhance any project. He's as versatile as they come and leaves a lasting impression on any scene he's in. Carlos came to us because he wanted an amazing Demo Reel that included some of his comedic work.
How It Works
We believe producing a great demo reel should be an exciting, low-stress, and fun process. We make it easy and ensure that we create a demo reel that meets your needs and provides you and your agent opportunities for feedback.
We've created a simple and easy-to-use form that allows you to share with us your goals for the demo reel, the clips you would like to use, and other information needed for us to create the best Demo Reel possible?
Want advice on what clips to use? Need help getting the footage? No problem, that's what we are here for!
Once we have your completed form, we'll arrange a time for us to chat and review your clips. This will help us why your chosen clips are important, where we can provide support, and clarify any questions that need to be answered before we begin to edit!
These typically take around 30 minutes and can be done virtually.
Want to chat before completing the form? No problem!
Edit & Review
Once we have all the clips we need we are off to the races! We'll work hard and fast to create your Demo Reel that matched the look and feel you're going for and that will get you noticed by Casting Directors.
Once completed we will share a draft with you and your agent for feedback. From there we will take your notes, if applicable, and finish your Demo Reel.
When it's completed we will send you a link to download your Demo Reel. It will be ready to uploaded to IMDb, Casting Workbook, Actors Access, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
We keep the your clips and project file saved for future uses. If you ever need a quick edit or update, we're here to help with a quick turnaround!
We charge by the hour to edit Demo Reels. The cost to edit a Demo Reel is $100/hr (CAD). After the form is completed and we've had our initial consult, we'll provide you with an estimate. The consult is free.
This is chat is free.
A typical Demo Reel takes three hours to complete and thus is usually around $300. The amount of time your Demo Reel requires will depend on several factors including amount of footage, if it is a brand new Demo Reel or just an update, if we need to capture the footage, etc. We accept Credit Card, e-transfer, or bank transfers as payment.
We always make sure to be upfront with you cost in advance so there are no surprises!
I don't see the type of video we want to make; can you help?Of course! Chances are we've done something similar to what you are envisioning, or know how to do it. Send us a message so we can send specific examples of our work and suggest ways to meet your objectives.
How much does a video cost to make? The short answer is: it varies. This is because all projects have unique components and time commitments. The best way to provide an accurate estimate is with a brief conversation about the project. With this we can create a free proposal and estimate to outline our suggested approach and the associated costs for that approach. We invite you to connect with us to get started.
How long does a video typically take to make?A full scale, customized video typically takes 4-6 weeks to create. Of course, this is dependent on the type of project. Need something sooner? Let us know and we'll work with you to find a solution that fits your timeline!
What is my job in a video production project? We strive to make this process as stress-free as possible, which means you can be involved as little or as much as you want. During pre-production we work with you to ensure that we are aligned with your vision and objectives. From there we provide updates of our progress as we move towards production. On set, we often like to have you or the subject matter expert nearby to provide content expertise and clarification. This is dependent on the project — sometimes it is required and other times it is up to your discretion. In every scenario, you’re welcome to join and we’ll be glad to have you with us. People tend to find it to be a nice break for their daily responsibilities and a really fun experience. During post-production, we provide you with multiple drafts of the video with opportunities for you and your team to provide feedback. We make sure that your final video it is everything you wanted! TL;DR - We're here to make your life easier. We'll keep you updated throughout the project and you are welcome to be completely hands-off or hands-on!
What is the service area for k+g creative media? There are no inherent limits to our service area. Our office is located in Toronto, Canada so most of our videos are produced in the GTA and surrounding area, but we have experience with national and international projects as well. We also have experience working entirely remotely for some of our large international projects (which can result in large savings). Depending on your location and specific needs we can work with you to determine if we are a good fit to deliver the video you want within the budget you have. If not, we’ll be happy to provide alternate suggestions.
My manager/co-worker/client is nervous about being on camera... can you help make them comfortable?YES! We specialize in helping nervous people, as well as people without prior media experience, to feel comfortable and look professional in front of a camera. In fact, many of the people seen in our portfolio videos started out nervous or had no prior media experience before working with us. We provide a relaxed environment, and create a positive atmosphere so all contributors feel comfortable. It’s an essential component of our method, and a key contributor to the success of your video.
